PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATOR
Person Specifications
Education/Qualifications:
Degree in Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities is essential.
Experience:
At least three years post NYSC experience in Administration and/or Programmes
& excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook (MS Office in general)
& experience in handling cash are essential. Office administration experience
& in working with international development of NGO agencies is desirable.
Skill/Abilities:
Attention to details; fluency in spoken and written English language;
Ability to work independently and in a team & highly numerate skills are essential.
Excellent planning and prioritization skills & strong analytical/problem solving skills are desirable.
Personal Qualities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills; well developed and proven interpersonal & organizational management skills; able to work effectively in a diverse team environment; creative and should be able to take initiative; should be ready to work additional hours at crucial times; must be willing to travel extensively, confident to train staff effectively in a fast-paced environment & high integrity are essential.
POLICY, ADVOCACY & GENDER SPECIALIST (1 position each in Benue & Kaduna)
Person Specifications
Education/Qualifications:
Degree in Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities is essential.
Post graduate degree in a relevant field is essential.
Experience:
A minimum of 7 years working experience preferably in the social development field is essential. A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position is essential. Experience of the Nigerian policy environment as it relates with Gender & HIV/AIDS is essential.
Skill/Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills is essential.
Excellent conceptual, analytical, documentation and presentation skills is essential
Excellent Skills in policy analysis and interpretation is essential
Personal Qualities:
Creative and takes initiative. Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment. Willing and able to travel.
PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
Person Specifications
Education/Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or Finance is essential. Chartered Accountant (ICAN) is essential
Experience:
At least seven years post NYSC experience with at least five years as an accountant and 3 years in a similar position in the development sector. Sound Practical Knowledge of SUN accounting software and Spreadsheets (MS Office in general) & experience in handling cash are essential. Experience in working with international development of NGO agencies is desirable.
Skill/Abilities:
Attention to details, knowledge of management accounting practices at a senior level, strong financial management skills, fluency in spoken and written English language; ability to work independently and in a team & highly numerate skills are essential.
Excellent planning and prioritization skills & strong analytical/problem solving skills are desirable.
Personal Qualities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills; well developed and proven
interpersonal & organizational management skills; able to work effectively in a diverse team environment; creative and should be able to take initiative; should be ready to work additional hours at crucial times & and high integrity are essential.

ReplyDeleteWith the level of job experience desired for the above positons, the organisation may end up with mediocres. Interest,then quality of service should be the main Issue. From my Understanding Actionaid as a Non Governmental Organization aim at sanitizing the society against poverty and injustice not level of experience. Its about ideas and energy to achieve this objectives and I tell you, the young graduate will give more if opportuned.

He even went as far as saying " you are stupid, and nothing you can do about that". I was so agreived that it felt as if it was directed to me. so tell me who can give Actionaid more, the man with 30 years experience or that with the interest sanitize an unusual society?
