World Bank Nigeria Country office, based in Abuja invites applications from qualified and experienced personnel as PROCUREMENT CONSULTANT


Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Duration: One year (renewable) Extended Term Consultant (ETC)

• The successful candidate should be holder of a Masters degree with major in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Law, Procurement, Finance, Business or Commerce);
• A minimum of 5 years direct relevant experience in procurement, including broad expertise in the management of public procurement in the public or private sector.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in procurement under World Bank or other International Financial Institution (IFI) funded projects.
  
• Good knowledge of all concepts, principles and approaches in procurement.
  
• And significant experience in preparation of procurement plans, bidding and contract documents for procurement of goods, works and consultants services.
• Strong communication skills and persuasiveness in presenting, negotiating and resolving complex issues, both orally and in writing English.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and orientation as a team member.
