Rockson Engineering is now recruiting for the following:

Project Managers

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for the successful completion of company projects in accordance with agreed targets.
  • Your key responsibility will be ensuring compliance to contractual obligations, coordinating and supervising technical personnel and vendors, managing project schedules, budget and quality.
  • You will also be responsible for the development of project briefs and facilitating the tendering process.
Minimum Requirement
  • You will be degree qualified in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (COREN or NSE membership will be an advantage) and aged between 37 and 45 years.
  • You must have a minimum of 12 years post graduation experience, five of which must have been at Management level within a power generation plant.
  • Ideally, you will have high voltage 330kV transmission line experience and be familiar with standard computer-based project management systems.
Civil / Structural Engineers.
Responsibilities
  • Checking of Design of building structures and machine foundations.
  • Detailing of Reinforced Concrete and Steel structures.
  • Follow-up civil works for power station construction.
Qualifications
  • Must be excellent in the use of 2D AutoCAD software.
  • B.Eng or its equivalent in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience, some of which should preferably have been in an independent generation and transmission, or oil service company.
  • A relevant professional Engineering qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Must be less than 35 years old at the time of submitting application.
HR Manager.
Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of effective human resource strategies for the company.
  • Your key responsibilities will include assessing both current and future needs of the business as they pertain to staffing, manpower development and HSE issues.
  • You will ensure best practice is adopted in relation to employee welfare schemes and promote an industrially harmonious work environment.
  • In addition, you will also be responsible for creating new initiatives aimed at increasing employees’ commitment to the company’s ambitious business plans and ensuring compliance with policies in line with the standards of operation within the Energy/Oil and Gas sector and Nigerian Labour Law.
Minimum Requirement
  • You will be degree-qualified (preferably with a relevant post-graduate degree qualification and IPMN membership) and aged between 37 and 42 years’.
  • You must have a minimum of ten years’ post graduation experience; five of which must have been in a similar role within a reputable corporate organisation.
  • You must be familiar with current national issues and possess an open-minded approach to problem solving.
  • Success in the role will require a deep understanding of current best practices in HR management.
 INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROLS ENGINEER
Responsibilities

 The successful candidates will be responsible for:
  • Designing P&IDs for process plants, specifying devices for pressure measurements, level measurements, temperature measurements, control valves and actuators.
  • Developing DCS (Distributed Control System) and programming of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems
  • Developing network communication protocols (Ethernet) in a process plant.
Minimum Requirement

  • Must be excellent in the use of 2D AutoCAD software.
  • B.Eng or its equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience, some of which should preferably have been in an independent generation and transmission, or oil service company.
  • A relevant professional Engineering qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Must be less than 35 years old at the time of submitting application.
 MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERS
Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:
  • Design of piping components on a project including General arrangement, piping isometrics, specifications, P&IDs, detail piping designs, and sizing of equipment.
  • Monitoring all work for compliance to project standards, applicable codes, contract requirements, quality and discipline standards, and accepted engineering and construction practices.
  • Coordinates with vendors, construction team and subcontractors
Minimum Requirement

  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and instrumentation & control design drawings including process flow diagrams.
  • Must be excellent in the use of 2D AutoCAD software.
  • B.Eng or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years hand-on experience, some of which should preferably have been in an independent generation and transmission, or medium oil service company.
  • Experience with 2D AutoCAD & 3DModelling CAD is essential.
  • A relevant professional Engineering qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Must be less than 35 years old at the time of submitting application.
 WAREHOUSE / STORE SUPERVISOR
Responsibilities
  • Good Knowledge of material packing lists and other relevant documents concerning the materials.
  • Supervising receiving and issuing store officers
  • Ensuring that standard procedures are followed in issuing and receipt of materials
  • Ensuring that proper records of store/warehouse operations activities are kept
  • Preparing weekly report to warehouse/Store Manager
  • Ability to lead a team player
Minimum Requirement

  • A minimum of first degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in technical stores and warehousing operations
  • Must be computer literate 
WAREHOUSEMAN
Responsibilities

  • Proper management of material packing lists and other relevant documents used in receiving and issuing
  • Compliance with the receiving/issuing procedures as the case may be.
  • Documentation of daily activities
  • Preparing daily report to Warehouse/Store Supervisor as the case may be. 
Minimum Requirement

  • A minimum of first degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Technical stores and warehousing operations
  • Must be computer literate
  • Ability to work in a team work
PROCUREMENT OFFICER (MATERIALS)
Responsibilities

  • Procuring quality materials at the best price available and delivered on time as specified in the material requisition form(MR) for the company need
  • Ensuring that all documentation as designed by the company with respect to procurement instruction and procedure(in particular, Costing and Planning procedures) are fully implemented
  • Implementing the Price Analysier as designed by the company for analysis of competing vendors quotes
  • Implementing the Local Purchase Order (LPO) procedure after the Price Analysier as designed by the company to authorize vendors on material supply contract
  • Completing and forwarding weekly data base report activities to immediate supervisor
Minimum Requirement
  • A minimum of first degree in any commercial discipline
  • 2 - 3 years relevant experience in purchasing and Supply operations.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Professional qualification will be a plus
