Assistant Accountant - West Africa Regional Office, Lagos
Provide technical accounting support to the Assistant Director Finance & Accounts (ADFA) and the underwriting team as well as assistance and relief to designated ADFAs in their absence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in the detail verification, processing, confirmation and processing of technical statements; credit control and management of balances due to/from cedants and brokers; keep proper records and files on assigned cedants and brokers;
  • Supervise the technical accounting staff in the review, verification, processing and confirmation of technical statements received from cedants and brokers - covering premium closings and slips together with their related transactions (commission,brokerage, profit commission, etc.), periodic (mainly quarrerly) statements of account, excess of loss premiums - and handling the same responsibilities for assigned cedants
  • Review and control the reinsurance debtors’ ledger for accuracy and collectibles and generally managing the credit control function to ensure outstanding balances are collected within their agreed terms. Oversee the maintenance of the reinsurance debtor balances by technical account staff and drive the collection process by Underwriters and the ADFA
  • Assisting the Underwriting team and the ADFA in the management of the relationship with cedants and brokers, especially in the timely rendition of account statements and the collection of outstanding balances . Any other duties as may be assigned by management
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines with at least 10 years post Qualification relevant work experience or Masters degree or full professional qualification plus 6 years post qualification relevant work experience
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies and Bilingualism (English/French) would be a added advantage

English-Speaking Interpreter /Translator - Head Office
Responsibilities
Provide interpretation services from French to English during statutory meetings or request from partners or sister organizations;
Translate corporate documents from French to English Language;
Carry out any other duty that may be assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Languages with at least 10 years post qualification relevant work experience or Masters degree or full professional qualification in Interpretation and Translation plus 6 years relevant work experience;
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies would be a added advantage

Senior Accounting Clerk. West Africa Regional Office, Lagos
To assist in maintaining, preparing and ensuring proper records keeping of financial accounts and statements.

Responsibilities
  • Documentation of receipts and payments in currencies other than Naira and processing in the Cashbooks.
  • Update of foreign investment accounts.
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Response to inquiries in respect of receipts or payments.
  • Weekly Cash/Bank Balances report, Liquidity report, Inter office account etc.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Regional Office Management from time to time.
Requirement
  • 3 papers at ‘A’ level in relevant subjects or equivalent plus 5 years relevant work experience
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies and Bilingualism (English/French) would be an added advantage

Zonal Monitoring Evaluation Officer.
Job Responsibilities:

Assure quality of program/project activities by ensuring adherence to SOPs and supporting the development and implementation of appropriate mechanisms.

Minimum Requirements:
BS/BA, MPH, MD or similar degree on monitoring and evaluation, medicine, pharmacy or related field with 3-5 years experience in monitoring and evaluation of reproductive health or HIV/AIDS programs in developing countries.
Experience in working with locals partners, including NGOs and CBOs and knowledge of the local context.
Excellent computer skills with specifically in spreadsheet and other database.
Knowledge and experience in implementing project level or state/national level monitoring and evaluation system.
Familiarity with USAID programs is preferred.
Working knowledge and/or training in the use of Lafiya Management Information system (LAMIS) will be an advantage.


SENIOR PROGRAM OFFICER:
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate FHI/Nigeria activities within USAID and PEPFAR guidelines and regulations.
Assist in strengthening a system of reporting on program progress against stated objectives and monitoring and evaluating framework.
Assist in Associate Director for Program Management and Zonal Manager in developing program strategies, subproject documents, work plans, and budgets.
Provide programmatic assistance to local FHI partners in HIV/AIDS/STI activities.
Oversee technical capacity building activities at the state and local government levels and for local implementing agencies.

Minimum Requirements.
BS/BA in public health pr related field with 7-9 years relevant experience or MS/MA in public health or related field with 5-7 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS programming.
Experience working with NGOs and CBOs.
Strong knowledge of health programs in developing countries.
Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
Ability to work well with others and develop and maintain good working relationship with staff and all FHI partners.
