SALES ENGINEER (MOTOR AND DRIVES)

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/TASKS
The main function/task for this position is to co-operate and work jointly with the team to create sales opportunities. The person must be able to discuss solutions on all levels, from individual Discrete Automation products to complex systems, including packaging solutions, combing transformers, motors & drives, as well as service and training. He/she also need to be able to conceptualize and visualize proposed solutions. Practically set-up and demonstrate solutions in the work shop or at customer sites. The person must have knowledge of AC Motors and/or AC Drives. A successful candidate will report to the country manager.
 Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following;
·         Adopting hands on approach towards establishing and developing excellent relationships with existing and new customers. Understand the clients thinking and requirements to be able to translate their needs into working solutions.
·         Generating a high level of customer satisfaction in all activities such as demonstrations, customer events, solutions engineering and on site commissioning etc
·         Continuously analyze the market to ensure thorough knowledge and input to the business and marketing Plan.
·         Sales Activities successful planning on weekly basis, summarizing the output potential business.
·         Together with the sales manager to identify and follow potential business leads from early pursuits through project execution if necessary.
·         Where required, help outside of assigned segment as requested by management.

Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical/Electronic  Engineering
  • 3 years experience in Sales and/or Product management.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work with a multitude of departments and staff members of all levels, including with senior executives. Ability to produce work at the executive level.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to solve problem, and work under pressure of immediate deadlines.
  • Requires efficient computer skills with strong knowledge of email, spreadsheet, and word processing software and excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to travel internationally and possess significant experience relative to assigned products.  
  • Excellent analytical and communication ability, both verbal and written, and ability to direct the actions of others
  • Strong project management skills (need to be able to drive the course of action for all areas related to this product.)
  • Age between 28 to 32 years
